My wife has the most beautiful Southern drawl.  When we travel up north (meaning way past Hattiesburg), people ask her to repeat words just to hear her drawl. Because of the military bases and other industries, the Gulf Coast is full of people who sound funny to us when they talk. Some native born Biloxians sound like they are from New Orleans! But I have discovered another group of people who sound funny to us when they talk.

If you've been to certain restuarants, you may have heard a Eastern European accent.  Young adults from countries like Greece, Macedonia and Bosnia have come to the Gulf Coast to work. Some are married, others single, others have come over with a boyfriend or girlfriend. These people present some church with a fantastic opportunity of ministry, evangelism and missions.  Young people evangelized here return to their homeland and share the gospel.  What better missionaries can we have than people who share Jesus in their native language to their friends and family.

I am asking the Lord to raise up a person to champion this mission opportunity. Our association will help research and resource ways to reach this people group.  Is God calling you and your church to minister in this area of need? Who will answer the call?
